ITALIAN AMERICAN LIVING HISTORY! Throughout the last century onward, media and entertainment agencies have badly stereotyped the Italian American community as gangsters, dishonest mobsters, and evil individuals tolerant of and prone to violence. The Applauso Italian Learning Center seeks to present a more worthy and accurate representation of Italian Americans by showcasing the important contribution of Italian Americans to police and law enforcement. Through FOUR guest speakers, our local community will be able to learn from their important stories and impactful life experiences and appreciate how Italian Americans have been devoted to fight crime, enforce law and order and better the overall quality of life of many people in Baltimore City and across Maryland.
