Prof. Applauso is very honored to have been nominated honorary member of The Italian American Sons & Daughters Club of Charlestown yesterday. This was a welcome surprise after his invited talk yesterday about Dante and his life and works. Great crowd and wonderful time to reconnect with friends Dr. Paul Rao and Mr. Petix!

BUONA FESTA DELLA MAMMA A TUTTI From us to ALL MOTHERS! Yesterday we had a blast thanks to the great leadership of CO-DIRECTOR JEANNETTE and our TEAM (AGATA and LYLA)! It was a fun event last night and children made Italian language cards & homemade pizzelle! FANTASTICO!!

With our intermediate students we made it from scratch! We used fresh rosmarino and unbleached flour and made it during our lesson! The Cabrini film depicts the life of Catholic missionary Francesca Cabrini, portrayed by Cristiana Dell'Anna, as she encounters resistance to her charity and business efforts in New York City. Cabrini explores the sexism and anti-Italian bigotry faced by Cabrini and others in New York City in the late 19th century.
