Beginning Italian Language Course (10-week package of 1 TRIMESTER)

So you know very little about Italian language and culture or nothing at all? This is the level for you!

This course is the first part of a five-trimester sequence designed to acquire basic knowledge of the Italian language and culture. The focus of this class will be on real-life language use, both spoken and written. We will address the “Five C’s” of language learning focusing on a student-centered classroom which aims toward proficiency.

Italian Language Course for Children (10-week package: 1 Trimester)


Does your child know some Italian from his/her grandparents, parents, or relatives? Does he/she already know one foreign language or would you like to have him develop more bilingual or trilingual skills? This is the place for them!  

This course is the first part of a five-trimester sequence designed to permit him/her to acquire a basic knowledge of the Italian language and culture. The focus of this class will be on real-life language use, both spoken and written.

Intermediate Italian Language/Cultural Course (10-week package: 1 Trimester)

The purpose of Intermediate Italian language sequence is to provide a sound basis for communicating effectively and accurately in Italian beyond the beginning level. If you already have studied Italian for 1 year and are familiar with Italian language (present and past tenses) and culture (basic general cultural info), you are ready for the intermediate level!

Advanced Italian Language/Cultural Course (10-week package: 1 Trimester)

The purpose of Advanced Italian language sequence is to provide a sound basis for communicating effectively and accurately in Italian beyond the beginning and intermediate levels. If you already have studied Italian for more than 2 years and are familiar with Italian language (present, past, and future tenses, as well as with the subjunctive and conditional moods) and culture (a good understanding of cultural info), but would like to brush up and perfect your Italian you are ready for the advanced level!

Italian Contemporary Cinema and Discussion
(8-weeks package: 1 Trimester)


This course is a survey of Italian cinema focused on one of the most renowned Italian comedy movies in recent years. While learning general information about the context of the movies, we will also explore the issues that each movie highlights such as family and romantic relationships, friendship, food, ethics, loyalty, love and the Italian south in relation to modern Italian history, culture, politics, and society.
