Intermediate Italian Language/Cultural Course (10-weeks package: 1 Trimester)

So you study Italian for a year or more but are not quite ready to jump into the difficult staff yet? This is the level for you!

The purpose of Intermediate Italian language sequence is to provide a sound basis for communicating effectively and accurately in Italian beyond the beginning level. If you already have studied Italian for 1 year and are familiar with Italian language (present and past tenses as well as future tenses and are familiar with the subjunctive mood) and culture (basic general cultural info), you are ready for the intermediate level!!! You will continue to strengthen listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Italian and develop a deeper understanding of Italian culture though structured lessons, hands-on workshops in cooking lessons, as well as literature (short stories and poetry as well as sketches from the Commedia dell’arte), music (Folk songs, rap, opera, etc.), cinema (Neorealism and comedy), history (Italian Unification, Fascism, and the First and Second repubblica), politics, and geography.

Classes will take place once a week in the evening after work hours. Each lesson will be 1 ½ hour long and will comprise of (A) one hour language and cultural lesson followed by (B) half-hour workshop. There will be 10 lessons in each trimester.  Tuition for one trimester (10 lessons) is ONLY $290 per student.
