Tomorrow I will be moderating a virtual lecture/discussion on the topic of Dante's Divine Comedy and music presented by Prof. Ciabattoni from Georgetown University Thursday April 22nd at 5:30 p.m. on ZOOM at the following link: https://loyola.zoom.us/j/4687812737 The event will be FREE and OPEN to the PUBLIC. It will be in English (but will contain some readings and texts in Italian) and is organized by the Italian division at Loyola University Maryland and is part of the worldwide celebration of Dante's 700 years anniversary. I hope you can make it!

Delighted to announce that Prof. Applauso just published a new studies in the volume DIversity in Italian Studies about teaching Italian in Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Dr. Applauso's study features highlights about the new Italian program founded in 2018 at Morgan State University. This program is of historic importance since it is currently the only Italian program currently taught in a HBCU across the United States!
