See our intermediate students in action! This Monday they created a "manfestazione culturale" together by listing the things they needed to execute the very interesting festival dei formaggi, la festa del compleanno e la festa del papà! They used verbs similar to piacere (like occorrere, mancare, bastare, and servire)! Here you can see an example of a very fun and engaging class! BRAVISSIMI!!!Check out the newest video on our YouTube Channel: How to travel in Italy BY TRAIN https://youtu.be/ji5Or1DdM4c (how to navigate & understand the train schedule/tables, how to buy and validate a ticket, etc.) Last night the Applauso Italian Learning Center proudly sponsored the Associated Italian American Charities of Maryland Annual Dinner Dance Gala. This annual charity event raises crucial support for many schools, hospitals & non-profit organizations right here in our great state of Maryland!
Last night we resumed our Italian 101 after a short break due to the visit in Italy by Prof. Nicolino Applauso. Thank you to Pat's Select for the delicious pizza! We also had some Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and practiced with adjectives and agreement (describing people)! Grazie to our special guests Antonio e Luca! We also had a great time with the Italian 102 class who practiced with vocabulary of the family with Scrabble in ITALIAN (FAMILY EDITION)!
Check out the new interview of Prof. Applauso at the VALDELSA LETTERARIA Channel. This brief interview with Italian news media is all in Italian language and about his experience in teaching Italian in the U.S. and his recent books and studies on Italian medieval history. Grazie a Francesca Allegri & Maurizio Chinaglia for the invitation to speak to the Valdelsa community in Italy!
