Busy Saturday: Italian 101 beginning students practiced with definite articles and nouns by making some homemade bread! Here is a picture of all the students in action! With our private class we made non-alcoholic SPRITZ and practice with the verb "FARE" ...the previous week you can see the children in action with our lessons on astrophysics and planets and days of the week!

The Applauso Italian Learning Center was at the Italian Heritage Festival last Sunday. Here is some pictures with Prof. Applauso and Luca at the booth. We were busy promoting Italian language and culture to many people! I think this year we must have about 3,500-4,000 people in attendance! Thanks for coming and for the continuous support of our great Italian American community!
October is Italian-American Heritage and Culture Month: Join us in Little Italy to celebrate this Sunday October 9! The event will take place in the Little Italy neighborhood (by St. Leo Church); it will start with a procession and mass and It will be a lot of fun. Please see the attached: There will be many fun things: a car show with Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa romeo, Maserati etc.), live Italian music, a bocce tournament, a mini Italian lessons and live workshops about Italian culture (How to make limoncello), and eating Italian sausage contest....AND plenty of vino! The Applauso Italian Learning Center WILL BE THERE. Prof. Applauso will also give a free lecture about the history of Italians in Maryland, this Sunday, October 9 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Little Italy Baltimore at the Pandola Learning Center. I hope you can join us! Prof. Applauso will talk about the history of the diaspora of Italians in Baltimore and Maryland (focusing on the contribution of Italian American Women) from 1634 to 2022!
