WHAT A SATURDAY! our students made some homemade tagliatelle pasta from scratch! BRAVISSIME!      Mark your calendars for the ITALIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL IN TOWSON, MD: SATURDAY OCTOBER 19  HOW TO ORDER at the Italian restaurant? Check out our students in our Italian class to learn how! Bravissime Maria, Linda and Zarmin! Excellent job to our intermediate students Kate and Michele for representing the reading "La donna piovra e l'uomo polipo"a satirical story by Beppe Severgnini about the overuse ot technology and multitasking in contemporary Italian society   Very grateful to Jamie and Micheal for sharing with Prof. Applauso and the class their homemade fresh tomato sauce recipe! I am planning to use it very soon for our Sunday dinner! Buon appettito a tutti!   We wish the best luck to our beloved assistant professor Antonio Felice who is now starting a new journey at the University of New Orleans to study Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. While there, Antonio will continue to foster Italian language and culture and occasionally connect remotely with our students for various workshops! BUONA FORTUNA ANTONIO!   Yesterday we had a fantastic class with the beginning students as they learned to describe people in Italian and made Homemade bread! Here you can see them in action and also the bread they made! This is a rare opportunity to catch a show in Maryland, only at the Star Centre in Havre de Grace on August 3. Dubbed “The Three Tenors meets the Rat Pack” by the late Joan Rivers, The Sicilian Tenors take their audiences on a romantic journey from Hollywood to Broadway to Italy with beautiful tenor voices singing a wide variety of marvelous songs that America loves. The evening begins with a performance by special guest comedian, Larry Noto, whose humor will add a delightful twist and set the tone for an enchanting night.  EXCELLENT WORKSHOP yesterday with our instructor Antonio Felice who taught students about ancient architecture and how to draw the atrium of a Roman house! A fun and engaging lesson!       |
